Best "winter" course in the area. I live 30 miles north where we still have snow on the ground. Loomis didn't have any snow, and the course was in fabulous condition! Not a mark on the tee boxes, the fairways were cut and drained, and the greens were blemish free. The bunkers have the best sand in the Northwest, SUMMER or WINTER! Hats off to the greens keepers, the members and mother nature for looking after Loomis Trails so well!

Dispite the typical wet March weather in this part of the country, Loomis was in exceptional shape for this time of the year. The drainage was terrific. No plugged balls in the fairways, but some wet areas in the rough, and off the tees and greeens. Sand traps were dry, raked, and in good repair. The greens were fast with no blemishes. (Take note: More players, members, and greenskeepers should take care of ball marks and divots on their courses, like they do at Loomis!) We played Semiahmoo (Loomis' sister course) a week earlier and it was not even close in condition. We had a great day at Loomis Trails and worth the drive from Vancouver, BC.

This course has so much hidden trouble crossing fairways. If this is the design and layout, then put GPS units identifying the trouble on the carts. If you don't know the course then Luck (good or bad) comes into play on most holes. Not my type of golf.
